Roni Danziger, PhD, is a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University. Her Research interests include socio-pragmatics, discourse analysis and politeness theory, aiming to understand meaning-making process and how language, culture, and communication shape social interaction. Her most recent studies appeared in Journal of Pragmatics, Policy & Internet, Discourse & Society and Contrastive Pragmatics. Her book “Positive Social Acts: a metapragmatic exploration of the brighter and darker sides of sociability”, was recently published by Cambridge University Press, in their ‘Element in Pragmatics’ series.
